Family Business
Tom and Jennie Shumway are the husband and wife team of locally owned and operated Talon Home Builders. They specialize in new residential construction and remodeling. They are passionate about construction and their community, and have decades of custom home building experience between them to help bring ideas and results to any type of project.
Building Customer Relationships
When you work with Talon, you'll be working directly with the owners of the company on a daily basis. We love our industry and our customers, and we feel honored to be providing our services. Community Involvement
Talon is a member of the National Association of Home Builders and the local MS-BIA. We support several local charitable events throughout the year.

Tom Shumway, President
Tom is a licensed General Contractor, Roofing Contractor, and Mold Remediator. He began his construction career while working as a custom home building superintendent. He immediately developed a love for home construction, and working with customers to reach their goals. In 2015 Tom created Talon Home Builders and he is very grateful to be doing what he loves every day, alongside his wife.
Jennie Shumway, Vice President
Jennie started in the construction industry as a leader in a Big Box DIY retail store - from there she found her way to home building with one of the community's leading custom home builders and developed a tremendous understanding for bringing building materials and relationships together to form a unique product for each customer - she finds true joy in watching the process of a new home turn from dirt to dreams.
